- Grip Practice in Midlife Badminton
- Shuttle Hold – Hold Thinly, Not Tightly
- Always hold the shuttle by the feathers lightly, not squeezing it hard.
- Shuttle Position – In Front of Your Body
- Keep the shuttle slightly in front of your body, at waist or shoulder level depending on the serve. Avoid holding it too close to your chest or too far away.
- Racket Position – Ready but Relaxed
- Grip the racket with your fingers (not palm) for better flexibility. Racket head should be slightly tilted forward, not flat or hanging down. Always bring your racket to a comfortable starting position before striking.
- Racket top part hitting shuttle – aim net and ignore where opponent is (for now)
- Consistency is Key – Repeat the Steps
- Grip, shuttle hold, shuttle position, and racket position should feel like a routine.
- Repetition makes your serve or shot feel automatic — like a habit.
